I’m Julia, the artist behind these handcrafted artworks and creations.
Creativity has always been a central part of my life, and after completing my Diploma in Fine Art, I decided to pursue my passion as a part-time artist.

My work spans a variety of artistic practices, with a particular love for traditional handcrafted art forms. I have specialised in creating Temari balls — an ancient Japanese textile art form (see picture to the right). Traditionally, Temari balls were handmade by mothers for their children and often contained small wishes or good luck charms within them, symbolising love, friendship, protection, and wellbeing.

I am deeply drawn to the mindfulness, patience, and connection found within handmade art. Through both my fine art and craftwork, I hope to create pieces that bring beauty, meaning, calmness, and emotional connection into people’s lives.

I also create handmade baby mobiles, which are lovingly designed and created entirely by me — from the initial pattern and concept through to the finished piece.

Alongside my textile and craft work, you will also find my watercolor artworks throughout the collection. I am deeply inspired by nature and the beauty of the world around me, and I love transforming these moments and surroundings into soft, expressive paintings.
